What is oculofacial cosmetic surgery?

Essentially, oculofacial cosmetic surgery is a type of surgery that is performed by oculofacial plastic surgeons, also called oculoplastic surgeons (like Dr. Villamarín) and performed on the face, especially in the periocular region (forehead and eyebrows, eyelids, temples and between the eyebrows, cheeks), although they can also be combined in the perioral region and the neck for comprehensive solutions. Brow lift

Either endoscopically or openly, with the brow lift technique, we can satisfactorily lift part of the brow or the entire brow. Whenever we can, we use minimal invasiveness and try to avoid visible scarring. It is usually combined with other procedures, such as blepharoplasty.

Eyelid lift

The eyelid lift is a delicate technique, either inside or outside the eyelid, that solves the drooping of the eyelid due to age. It is usually combined with other procedures, such as blepharoplasty. A meticulous evaluation by Dr. Villamarín is required before the indication of these super-specialized techniques.

Foreheadplasty

Sometimes the hairline recedes and a very wide forehead image appears, which decenters the apparent position of the eyes on the face, creating an aged or tired image of facial presence and gaze.
