The procedure.

There are several surgical and non-surgical procedures that, alone or in combination, are usually used by Dr. Villamarín to rejuvenate the chin, neck and décolleté: Dermal fillers usually injectables with hyaluronic acid, anti-wrinkle neuromodulators and microinjections, thread lifts, lipofilling or fillers with fat transfer, face and neck lift surgery, alloplastic implants, neck liposculpture, resurfacing lasers, mild chemical peels and regenerative therapies.

Dr. Villamarín prefers the use of a specific and strategically inserted dermal filler, as well as the frequent use of a special cannula, whenever indicated.

The use of anti-wrinkle neuromodulators and tension threads to redefine the neck, as well as boosters, lasers, IPL and mild chemical peels, are also of great help. The use of specific injections to reshape the neck, with a refined technique due to the delicacy of the area, is another option in mild cases of double chin and excess neck fat. Following the safety protocol specifically designed by Dr. Villamarín, whenever possible we use cannulas for the injection of any substance, be it anesthetic or a filler, instead of needles, to minimize the possibility of serious complications.

Post Procedure Care

After the procedure, we will begin medication and post-operative recommendations and you will be discharged for the initial discharge. Cold packs will be used to reduce swelling for the first two days after the procedure. There will be follow-up as per protocol to monitor healing and make sure all your questions are answered.

Recovery

Recovery is mainly related to swelling and in rare cases with small bruises. Recovery usually takes 2 days, depending on the procedures performed, and we recommend planning 2 days to recover.

Minor swelling continues to improve steadily in the days following the procedure. Exercise can be resumed 1 week after the procedure, depending on the nature of the activity and the degree of inflammation involved.
