Energy treatments, in particular lasers and pulsed light (IPL) are well known for their effectiveness in rejuvenating the face and neck.

Lasers. There are different types of lasers and we handle a unit with different heads that allow both ablative lasers (eliminates the surface of the skin and spots and other benign lesions) and non-ablative lasers (acts only on the depth of the skin, inducing regeneration with neocollagenesis). With this, Dr. Villamarín seeks to improve the quality of the skin and rejuvenate it or eliminate scars. In addition, they can be applied in a classic way and in a sweep or divided in dispersed points. This last modality is even less invasive and the recovery is faster and the one preferred by Dr. Villamarín.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is an excellent customizable light treatment to reduce the appearance of veins (couperosis), redness, brown spots, and large pores. Commonly used on the face, neck, décolletage, and hands, IPL photorejuvenation increases collagen production to improve skin smoothness. There is little discomfort but local anesthesia is usually used. It is also excellent for age related dry eye.

The LED light works producing similar effects on the skin but does not require anesthesia as it is painless.

The treatment is carried out in consultation and is administered in several sessions by Dr. Villamarín after a thorough prior study of the patient. The treatment is applied to specific areas, such as the neck, face, hand or décolleté. There may be itching, burning after treatment.
